Whether in a small seminar or a large lecture hall, a core principal of my teaching revolves around fostering a high level of student engagement. While the topic and scope of my classes can vary considerably, a common thread remains to provide students with frameworks for analyzing the world they are a part of. My intention is not for students to come to the same conclusions as me on a given topic, but rather to find a purpose and use for critical thinking and extended inquiry.
